Cami vs. consequence

Dear Family,
I hope that you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving this Thursday!!
Sister Bushman’s birthday was a definite highlight this week! I made her breakfast in bed and then for lunch our District all went to Olive Garden! Then at 5:30 the Wahlquist’s (Bishop and his family in the 31stward) picked us up to take us to Texas Roadhouse! Unfortunately they didn’t let her ride the saddle LAfter that, we went to the Shawn and Katie’s! They are such a cute couple! Katie put together a little party for Sister Bushman. We made smore’s over candles J It was fun!! We were a few minutes late leaving their house and I stepped on fresh dog poop on the way home. That was probably my consequence for being late. Not a very nice one! Yuck.
We had a great lesson with our investigator Liz this week! She made some great commitments and is progressing very well.
This week at the visitor’s center, a woman came in and looked really happy and continued to walk past the front desk. Well I followed her and asked her how her day was and she was so quiet and just broke down. We sat in front of the Christus and I played it for her in Spanish. After it got done playing, we just sat there for awhile. The first thing that she said to me was that her husband was at court under the lie detector right now. Oh man I had no idea what to say to that! Long story short, we had a really great conversation and I think she felt much better when she left.
I am excited for Thanksgiving! Funny Story. We were given a bunch of referrals from one of our Ward Mission Leaders, and we contacted one. He answered the door and we were just chatting with him. I think he was trying to get rid of us, but I asked what he was doing for Thanksgiving. He said that he has some sister Missionaries coming over and that his daughter had invited them. I’m like oh yeah that’s us! We will see you on Thursday! Haha. I think it caught him off guard.
I love you guys! Thanks for the letters and the Love!
-Cami
