Hello one and all!
First of all, I cannot believe that Rissa is going to
Honduras! I am so excited!!!!! You are going to so wonderful J I can’t wait to hear
your mission stories!
Transfer calls came and Sister Bushman and I are staying
here in the Idaho Falls Central area. Here is the really cool part…WE ARE
GETTING A CAR! And I’m the driver. I don’t know if it’s cool that I’m the
driver since everyone says I’m a bad driver, but maybe now that I’m a
missionary, I will be better? We will see J
Sister Bushman is in for a treat!
I can’t believe how fast Christmas is coming! We are
spending Christmas Eve at the Pace’s. They do a talent show so I’m thinking
about taking a dart gun and having a battle with everyone? I don’t know what
else I would do. We are spending Christmas day at the Wahlquist’s. They do the
dart gun fight too!!! I’m so excited. We are going to skype with family at
their house and eat lots of food.
I guess we were supposed to speak and do a musical number in
a ward this past week….but they never told us. Oops!
I saw so many people at the visitors’ center this past week!
Teerah (My roommate at BYU-I) came in! She is leaving for her mission in Milan
Italy January 16th. It was great to see her and catch up! Then I saw
Bishop Birch (My bishop from BYU-I that helped me with my mission papers), My
neighbor at BYU-I Rebecca came in…she has her mission papers in!!! Then
I saw Cort, Chandler, Parker and
Camille!!!! I was outside by the temple and I see Cort and a baby come
around
the corner and I got so excited!!! It was so great to see them! Rissa's
roommate Melanie came in to give me a package from rissa. We chatted for
quite a bit. She looooves rissa!
On Saturday, there were 12 weddings in the
morning, lucky for us (not) we got to work at the VC! There was only
standing room, and it was so noisy! And the newly -weds are always so
mushy gushy yuck! One of Sister Bushman's friends got married, so we got
to so see them after they came out of the temple.
At church we got to teach the young women about missionary work. We talked about why we went on missions and how to prepare.
Last night, our investigator Kyle and his parents, and a
family from the ward (The Grimoud’s) came into the visitor’s center for a
Christmas message J
There is a guy named Brad that comes into the VC a lot and he was here last
night. He came in to watch the movie with everyone and afterwards he asked if
he could sing a solo. So I played silent night for him while he sang it. It was
the sweetest thing! And he was so excited because it was his first solo ever. I
just love the Christmas season! So much love and giving!!!
Yesterday,
there was this 8 year old boy in here all by himself. His name is
Chance. His parents let him ride bike here and he just has to be home
before dark. So he will stay here for hours. I hung out with him
yesterday and we talked a lot about the church. He really wants to get
baptized, but his family isn't too keen on that idea. We will
see...maybe he will just keep coming to the VC!
Well I love you all so much! Thank you for the Christmas cards!
You are all beautiful!
Love,
Cam
