I got a new companion this week! Her
name is Sister Jacobson, she is 19, she is from upstate New York, she
loves running with me in the morning, being crazy, working hard, waking
up early in the morning with me, laughing, doing secret handshakes,
singing in the shower, eating veggies (YEEESSSSSSS), and just being
plain awesome.I love her so much. I feel like we have known each other
forever. We work really well together!!! We are very unified in our
teaching and have been able to help a lot of people already. She is
fantastic! oh and she has an amazing voice...musical numbers!!! The
first day she got her, we went to Wal-Mart and we had a race to see who
could round up as many shopping carts as they could...she won. she is
fast.
On Thursday night, we went to a Relief Society
activity to make bread with all of the sisters! When you make this
bread, you have to beat the dough. So you can either use your hands and
punch it out or use a huge long wooden stick and smack it. Sister
Jacobson punched, and I smacked. I started bleeding a lot and there was
blood on the wooden stick....oopsies! It tasted yummy though (the bread,
not the blood).
Jasmine and Teva are getting baptized on Saturday
and we are SO EXCITED!!!!! They are both doing great....I just love my
investigators so much. Liz is doing really good and set a new baptism
date so she is progressing well. Eduardo set a new date too!!! And he
and his wife just found out they are pregnant! We are pretty excited for
them :)
Sister Jacobson got a door slammed in her face on
her fifth day in the field! I was so proud of her :) It's sad people do
that, but it's pretty exhilarating and makes us want to work even
harder.
We found a stray chihuahua but it wouldn't let us take it home.
for
our morning work outs we go running a lot and we found this jungle gym
and we run around on that too. It's pretty fun....and I feel like I am
in second grade again.
Valentines day is coming up! AKA Single's Awareness day! Whoop Whoop!
I
have been seeing Rissa here and there. She has been going out teaching
with the spanish sisters and giving them rides. It's so great to see
her! I'm so excited that she gets to go out and teach in spanish!! All
of the sisters absolutely love her, and say that we talk exactly the
same.
We named our car Doug.
Thanks for the Valentine's Brandon, Danielle, Makayla and Annie!!! The chocolate is yummy :)
I think that's about it! I love you all so much! Thanks for everything! Have a fantastic week!!!!!
love,
Sister Cami Kuhns
