Transfer time!

Hello everyone!

The biggest news this week is that I am getting transferred to Blackfoot! It is a full proselyting area (No more Visitors' Center). I will be in a trio as well! My companions will be new to the mission and one of them will be a visa waiter for Brazil (I think) I am so sad to leave Sister Corry, but I know what we will continue to stay in touch and that the mission home will be a party when we are reunited on our last day. Sister Corry is just the best. I hope you can all meet her someday.
In Sacrament Meeting, our ward mission leader gave a talk and announced that I was getting transferred. There is this 9 year-old girl who really loves Sister Corry and I, and  she started crying! She ran up to us after sacrament meeting and was so sad that we were getting split. It was really sweet. But it's ok, because we are going to be pen pals now :)
Preston got the priesthood yesterday! He was ordained to the office of a priest. Sister Corry and I had the opportunity of attending Priesthood opening exercises and High Priest group haha!  Bertha said that she is going to call the Bishop in Blackfoot so that she can sign up to feed us hah! I don't know what I am going to do without Preston's diabetic cookies.

To be honest, this week was full of Sister Training Leader stuff. We have had a lot happen and it has been a hard week. I know it only goes up from here. I'm grateful to have had Sister Corry as a companion through it all.

In my personal study this morning, I read in 3 Nephi when Christ was teaching the Nephites. One verse that has stuck with me all morning is 3 Nephi 13:6 "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly." I am extremely grateful for a Heavenly Father who hears AND answers my prayers. It is very reassuring.

You guys, obedience is key. If you are exactly obedient to everything that Heavenly Father has commanded us to do, we will be exalted. It is so important. I don't know how else to stress how crucial it is to be obedient. It has a lasting effect on others if you aren't. We all have agency, let's use it in the right way.

One thing I have learned too - if you are asked to give a talk in church be happy about it and don't tell the whole congregation that you would rather be somewhere else. It's such a blessing to be able to prepare a talk- you learn so much in the process. And then to be able to give a talk in church and bear your testimony. You will touch someone's heart with the words that you say.

Enough ranting. Sorry.

I love my mission so much. I am excited to see what Blackfoot has in store! I am extremely grateful for for my family and the way that I was raised. I take those things for granted. There are people who will never have the opportunity to see how a Christ-centered home operates. I am so blessed.

Also Elder Daniel Kindt will be my District Leader - he is the Kindt's nephew!

I love you all! Have a great week!
