Harvest Time!!!

It's harvest time!!! This morning, we got the grand tour of a potato field, and some potato cellars to see how everything operates from the Nickell's. I swear they own all of the farm land in Blackfoot! They also have an island that they took us "Gatoring" on. There was a little river where we got out and skipped rocks. A gator is basically a glorified four wheeler with seat belts! It was beautiful!!
Ingrid from my last area went through the temple this past week! We got to go with her, Sister Corry and Sister Creek. It was beautiful!!

I seriously love Blackfoot. I never know what to write in my emails because so many random things happen.

Cody is getting baptized on September 28th. He is doing really good. He is the funniest kid- I never know what is going to come out of his mouth. We asked him to explain the pre-earth life to us and he started talking about how we have tools to harvest the fields. He's hilarious. It's really cool to see how his mom is changing and starting to come back to church.

We talked in the Rose 3rd ward on Sunday and did quite well if I do say so myself. I really like speaking in church. You learn so much from preparing for it. We also got to teach mission prep for the priests in the Rose 2nd ward. Those young men are sharp! They are going to be great missionaries. After their mission prep class, they go out in companions and teach members from the ward.

The people in Blackfoot are hilarious. They are all so kind and loving. Maybe I will retire here and own a potato farm. We get lots of food from people's gardens. They are all just so helpful.

We got to speak at a baptism for an 8-year old boy named Enoch in the Rose 3rd ward. He is such a sweet heart. Cody came with to see how it all works. He made it very clear that the water needs to be warm for his baptism. He also told us that he is going to try to swim around in the big tub while he gets held under water, haha.

Sister Riding is the coolest companion. I hope that she never gets her Visa to Brazil, or at least while I am here. We get along so well and have so much fun.

I really love that we live with the Nickoll's. I feel like they are our parents away from home. A lot of times after we are done planning at night, we go down and have a snack and talk about our day. They are such great people and so loving. It's a treat to live with them.

We met a family this week that has goats without ears! It's a weird breed.

We have been weeding a yard for this lady out in Wapello named Lyn. She has a horse named Strawberry and a mini horse named Wilburina who she calls "Miss Thang" for short. She also has two llama's and some sheep. Lyn is really nice. She is really smart. She is teaching me all about dreams and how to analyze them, and also about Native American traditions. She also likes mental health and was a nurse working in the mental health field for so long. She's great.

We might have found some crystal meth at someone's house!

I'm not sure what else to say. Things are going great. I am tired all the time, but it feels good. We work hard!

YOLO!

love,
Sister Kuhns
