January 21, 2013 letter

Hello everyone!!

 

This week has been great! We have worked at the VC 6 nights this week! Phew!

 

I love the VC! My favorite thing to do is to teach on the phone. I am teaching a woman in San Francisco right now. She is so great! I also was able to send the missionaries to four people this week! When I do that, I look up the bishop where they live, talk to him for a little bit, and then call the elders there and tell them about the person. It is a really cool experience.

 

Sister Bushman and I are busy preparing for the MTC Experience! I think I had mentioned it before.....It is on 1/26 and we are having a "Mission President" there to welcome them. They will all be in companions. and then we have 3 sets of missionaires (2 sets of english elders and 1 set of spanish sisters) teaching classes, then we will have a Q&A/Zone Conference and then we will end with lunch. We gave all of the priests and laurels their mission calls this past sunday! Half were called spanish speaking, and the other half was called english speaking. We are really excited for it and I hope that everything runs smoothly! cross your fingers PLEASE!

 

It is SO COLD HERE! I can never feel my toes! I wear tights, 3 pairs of thick socks, and boots and they are still numb. Is there something wrong with me? Everytime I come to the VC, I just put my toes in front of the heater (Socks on don't worry, gross) to warm them up. does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Mom My jackets are working great! Everything else on me stays nice and toasty warm :)

 

Transfers are coming up in 2 weeks AH!

 

We had interviews with President Brinkerhoff and Sister Brinkerhoff this past week. I love them both so much! I know that part of the reason I was called to this mission was to be with them. They're amazing.

 

Please pray for the Moore Family, they just had a son pass away. and Also the Ricks family, they just had a father pass away.  I would really appreciate that thanks!

 

I am so sorry that this email is short....we are just continuing to teach the gospel and work hard at the VC!
