The Hills are on fire! Not literally, just with the
spirit! We have been blessed with lots of lessons and many potential
investigators this past week. Sister Woods and I have been blessed!!!
I can't even think about what happened because we were so busy!
Sister
Turner and I are the Sister Training Leaders in the Idaho Falls area
and we did our first exchange this week! Sister Lewis came with me to my
area. She is wonderful. She is waiting for her Visa to her mission in
Argentina! We got a lot of work done. It's fun to get to know the other
Sister's here.
We had our Missionary Leadership Council this
past week with President and Sister Brinkerhoff, The Assistants, all of
the Zone Leaders in the mission and the Sister Training Leaders. The
meeting is always from 9-2. It was wonderful! The Assistants did an
awesome training about key indicators (how we keep track of our
investigators and lessons we teach). They related it to making cookies
:) They made cookies for everyone but some of them were very salty. So
we talked about how we need to balance out everything in the mission and
follow the recipe. I love this meeting because we just have discussions
about everything! It's great to get to know the other missionaries as
well.

We are teaching a boy who is 7 and is very very
excited to get baptized! His name is Tek. This past week we had a
scavenger hunt with him where he had to recite articles of faith to us.
Today for our Zone Activity, we are playing Volleyball at their house.
Oh, BIG NEWS!!!! Do you remember the
Cervantes/Fullmer family that I taught in Idaho Falls Central? Their
Daughter got baptized there. Well, the rest of the family was baptized
this past Saturday! They were being taught by my Zone Leaders so I got
to go! It was a beautiful service and it was great to see all of them.
They will get sealed next year!!! I think I'm just going to have to live
in Idaho forever to see all of these sealings, baptisms etc. haha
There
is an elder in our district named Elder Warner who is one of the
funniest people I have ever met. He has a very, very low voice. In
District meeting last week, he whipped out his planner and with his
booming voice said that you always need to keep a picture of yourself on
it just in case it gets lost. Also put your name, address and phone
number, or else little kids will think it's funny to vandalize it. The
picture he put on was a picture of Mr. Potato head. haha.
Oh
man, I had my first double dinner this past week. It was horrific
First we had a big dinner at a house, and then we get a call from this
man saying that he invited his non member friends over that evening to
meet with the missionaries We were pumped! But they forgot to tell us
they were feeding us. So we went there straight after dinner and they
had food on the table and everything set up. I said, oh I'm so sorry we
interrupted your dinner! They said, we sent you a message earlier that
we were feeding you! Have a seat! We explained that we had just come
from dinner and they told us that they made it all for us. So we took
some deep breaths and ate very very slow. Then she brings out a huuuuge
strawberry short cake. At this point I thought I was going to be sick.
Luckily, she let us take it to go. I thought I was going to throw up.
Worst feeling ever. And We went on exchanges the next day. Poor Sister
Woods went with spanish speaking sisters and had a double dinner as
well. haha
Zone
conference is coming up! We have someone from the Seventy coming to do a
mission tour! He is also coming to our Missionary Leadership Council
meeting so that will be fun too :)
Oh and p.s., in England, Chock a Block means that you are very busy.
I
love my area. The members are fantastic here and are very helpful. They
are really grasping the concept of member missionary work!
Happy late birthday Dad and Grandpa!!! I hope it was a good one :)
I love all of you lots and lots!
